What is a naturhus?
A natural house should be a living cycle house that offers diverse experiences. There, the four elements – fire, air, water and earth – are controlled individually or so that they interact in the best way from an economic and human-ecological point of view. Fire is responsible for light and heat, power and energy. Air is for everything in gaseous form, water is for everything liquid and earth is for everything in solid form.
Four rules for living better

Then the book ”På akacians villkor” is highly recommended.
This book written by Bengt Warne and Marianne Fredriksson changed my view of housing.
In the book, Bengt mentions four rules for building and living more pleasurable, healthy and economical:
Rule No. 1: Look after the real needs and not the artificial ones. Technology should be subordinate to the fundamental laws of biology. In lifestyle, construction and housing, we must learn from nature.
Rule No. 2: Let our homes collaborate with nature. Organisms live on primordial flows such as sun, wind, rain, soil and plants. We can shape our houses according to the same principles.
Rule No. 3: Give the residents of the houses the opportunity to control the flows and cycles themselves. Let us heat, ventilate, water, cultivate and change according to our own needs and tastes.
Rule No. 4: Use sophisticated but environmentally friendly technology when nature’s energies are not enough.
